Walk the truffière, follow the dog, and see truffles come out of the ground.
Our truffle hunts take place in our truffière in Wanganui, New Zealand during the winter truffle season. This is your hunt: you take the lead of our truffle dog, walk the rows of trees, and when she marks the spot, you dig and lift the truffle from the soil yourself.
Along the way we will show you how our truffles grow, how we care for the trees, and what makes bianchetto special. Every hunt is different. What the dog finds on the day is part of the fun.
Hunts run Saturday and Sunday mornings through the season, and numbers are kept to eight so everyone gets their turn with the dog. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for Whanganui winter weather. Pick a date below and we will confirm by email.
